The Louisiana Trailer Dog uses a similar concept and has been designed for use on trailers. The Louisiana Trailer Dog also eliminates straps, provides security and restricts movement. Although easy to install, the customer will be required to drill (6) 1/2" holes in the bed of the trailer for the installation of the base plate.  When the Louisiana Trailer Dog is not in use, simply remove the upright arm, leaving only the one-inch plate attached to the floor of the trailer. Therefore, your trailer will not be restricted for other uses.
