The Guard Dog ATV Tie-Down with the NEW Slack-N-Ator 4 uses our updated and patent pending design to ensure that there is no rattle and slack coming from your hitch receiver. It also helps reduce the push and pull stress that a typical hitch receiver connection has on your truck or SUV. You are able to secure a 4-wheeler in seconds and eliminate the use of straps and ropes. It also prevents forward, backward, and side movement. Works with almost any truck model.  The product will also work with many UTVs that fit into the bed of a pickup truck though we recommend that you download the Fit Diagram to make sure that it will work with yours.  We can customize if yours will not fit. Be wary of imitation products made by Kolpin Outdoors as they are poor quality. They are manufactured entirely in China so the nuts and bolts strip out very quickly.

I was making contact with your company for one reason. I bought a Louisiana Guard Dog ATV tie down syatem last year and love it! On this past Friday I was involved in a major accident where the extent of damage was catastrophic. However I had my Yamaha Big Bear in the back of my truck. the tie down system held and then broke the upper arm of the system. But the system held long enough to just cause minimal damage to my vehicle.im positive that on impact without this sytem, my atv would have been in my back seat!! thank you guys so much and i will be purchasing another system for my new truck. It saved my life and my atv”

add to reviews-there are pictures if we want to add them- I bought my laguarddog a couple of years ago and have always liked how fast, easy and reliable it is. It’s been all over Texas, Oklahoma and has pulled another atv on a trailer to Colorado and back. When I stayed in motels, I felt better knowing that my atv was more secure with several different locks in place. You cant say that with straps. Now I have another reason to love this thing.
The day before Thanksgiving, 2015 I was coming home from a SW Texas hunting trip when I was one of the trucks in a chain collision accident. On Hwy 67, in a 65 mph zone, traffic had come to a stop I was one of the trucks in the middle. A ’98 Dodge, driving at highway speed and which had left only about 15 feet of skid mark, slammed into the back of a silver F150. That F150 was pushed into the back of my ’13 F150 in which I was hauling my atv which was secured by my laguarddog. I was then pushed into the back of yet another pickup.
The two pickups behind me were completely totaled. The truck that was shoved into me had extensive frame damage, and the driver’s seat was broken. The tool box that was bolted in, had been thrown from the his bed and can be seen in pic #1 laying in the highway. It was that violent of an accident. Fortunately the young man driving it was somehow uninjured, as was the rest of us except that the woman that slammed into him did suffer unknown injures and was taken to a hospital.
Considering the amount of damage the two pickups behind me suffered, I got off light. No one at the scene or the body shop could believe the relatively small amount of damage I sustained and they couldn’t figure it out until they saw my tie down. The pickup that hit me, actually hit my laguarddog which transferred most of the impact to my receiver hitch and forward thru the frame. My pickup was put on a frame machine and checked and it was still perfect. I had only tailgate damage and grill and front bumper damage. My atv hitch was bent and came loose from my laguarddog but at a highway speed impact, you have to expect something. I have absolutely no doubt that had I used straps to secure my atv, it would’ve been thrown into the back of my cab causing further damage and possibly injury to myself. My truck also would’ve sustained heavy rear body damage.
I’ve included pics and if you zoom in on the silver F150 (pic#4) closely you can see where it impacted my laguarddog. You can also see that my laguarddog appears to be undamaged, it was my atv hitch that gave way! I will know more when I get my truck back and can reinstall it.
Thanks for building a quality product. That’s increasingly rare these days. If I had been using straps, the damage to my atv and my truck would have been much MUCH worse and with an atv flying into the back of my cab, I could’ve been injured. How do I know? Because I’m also a retired police officer with 2 1/2 decades experience and I’ve investigated 100’s if not 1000’s of accidents. I’ve always told my friends that my laguarddog is the best money I’ve ever spent on my atv and now it appears to have also paid off in limiting damage to my pickup and helping prevent injury to me.
Thanks again for a quality product.

Purchased this after looking at reviews on the internet. I have a crew cab Sierra with a short bed and loved the idea of not messing with straps. Also with the short bed, I was worried about having the atv next to the back window and on the tailgate with only the straps holding it down. After about 10 minutes of setting up, I loaded the atv on the bed and hooked it up. I have no worries about the atv ever moving, this thing is rock solid. The slack adjustment is a great feature. Thanks for a great product!

A+ product I bought mine 8 years ago and it has been amazing, reliable, durable and once you try the Guard Dog you will settle for nothing less ever again . It gives you room in front of your ATV for a truck box, tools, coolers etc…. also it will save a trucks rear window too lol…. beside the tons of reasons the most important and greatest feature with the guard dog is SAFETY!! for other traffic behind your vehicle as there is no worrying about straps breaking or your ad be coming out of the back of your vehicle at all, is also safe in case you have to slam on the brakes etc… as it will not wind up in the truck seat with you and it will also stop a lot of broken rear windows by just a few people out there who loading up get a lil excited lol…. I’ll be in the product for 8 years I have my own small business and use my atv plowing , hunting , besides just hitting the trails and this is one of the best purchases I have bought for my ATV, my vehicle, and is very reliable durable Dependable long lasting and they can also be locked into your trailer hitch and you can also be locked to your atv too which it just one more of the bonuses to this product. But enough of my rambling it is well well worth the money you will not be upset with your purchase so don’t second guess yourself you want to try and I’m sure you’ll be the next one rambling all about the LA Guard Dog!!
